Do you want to stay up to date? Tween Tribune is for you! It is a free reading website from the Smithsonian institute that features articles for readers from different grades (from K4 to Year 12). The topics covered by the articles include animals, fashion, entertainment, school, science, technology, national and world news. The most interesting thing is that articles are written both by kids and professional journalists!

Project Gutenberg

If you are passionate about classic literature, Project Gutenberg is perfect for you! It is a website that offers access to over 50,000 free e-books. Here you will be able to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Books are available in a variety of formats including ePub or HTML, so there is no excuste not to read!

Newsround by BBC

And last but not least, BBC is always a good idea! If you find regular articles to be too difficult, you should give a try to Newsround, one of the world's first television news magazines for kids. Appart from articles, here you will have access to quizzes, videos, games, shows and puzzles.
